I love how it has 'oh shit' handles in the back.  For that moment when you go 'Oh shit! I'm in the back of an '82 Challenger!'

I'm sure you could stuff a nice small block or a 340/360 in there and wake her right up...  If the car was cheaper that would be something to consider  :popcrn:

The Arrow seemed to sell better didn't it?  I forget now but was there a Dodge equivalent to the Arrow?

If I had to do a sleeper build I always wanted to find a colt or a K car (that wasn't rusted into oblivion yet) hopefully with the horrid faux woodgrain siding and swap a SRT-4 powertrain, gut it and go have some fun!!  :icon_smile_big:

Oh boy, I went to the car show this sunday and guess what I see there!!!  I see this guy with the new challenger and things go through my head and all I could think about was your comment and I laughed out loud by accident and the owner was like, 'is something wrong' I said, 'no' you have a nice car whats its history.

It was by chance he said, 'I found this on craigslist for 1600 bucks and it was in such good condition I had to buy it, and then I realized, 'oh shit its the same car with hater talking about the rear oh shit handles'  So I realized now I have met the guy who bought it this car off craigs.  he was shining up the rims and everything for display........I took pics and will post them, but man it was funny the oh shit handles I laughed....

That is funny as I wrote a short story about the "forgotten" Challenger for a Mopar magazine and had been looking for one to get some pictures for the story...and wouldn't you know...there was one here at the show.   (I havn't seem one in well over twenty years) I talked to the owner and he was a nice guy, didn't know a whole lot about the car but I informed him that he did have something special, even if it wasn't a "real" Challenger in many eyes.  At least the name plates are the same as the 1970 Challenger, so you could say that it is indeed a real Challenger "if only in name" (so to speak).  :icon_smile_big:

Look at the emblems you could take those emblems and put them on the 70s model and call it good  :2thumbs:

Cant forget the rear handles......

I still maintain, those cars scream; "PUT A SMALL BLOCK IN ME!"...  Hell, I'd even fabricate the parts and put a Ford driveline in it ala MoparMustang lol...
