Use her for street pretty much everyday in the summer, daily reliable driver. Is the 6 pac a reliable everyday type of set-up? Or should I just rebuild the original Carter AVS. Just would like the WOW factor that I've heard about with the 6 barrels opening up.
Would the stock lower end handle the 6 pac? Thanks in advance.....

(Car currenlty has a Holley 750 VS, just want to go another route for once)

The Six Pack would be reliable and the bottom end will easily handle it.  They need a little more fuss to get them properly tuned but once there, are great.

At normal cruising, your mpg will go up quite a bit as well.  Win win!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

myk

Nothing says "wow" like more 'carb barrels.  If you can spring the cost and get the 6V running properly you'll be all about wow...

The operative word here is 'normal'...  Okay I'm not quite sure what that means myself.

Normal is indeed in the eyes of the beholder!

Fuel mileage isn't bad as long as you stay out of it.
I have one built from ProMax with their MaxPak on the outboard carbs (they have adjustable metering screws, can be tuned on the car without disassembly). So far it's been a great, reliable system. Had to ditch the choke with the Eddy RPM heads.
How are you on vacuum with that old school 484 cam?  :scratchchin:

Had those numbers somewhere when I was trying to figure out what power valve to use in the Holley. Can't seem to find them now.
I think 10-11?
