Sell the charger for this cuda...

I dont know why, but im intriqued by this Cuda. I was thinking of selling the charger to fund this Cuda, how much do you think this cuda is worth?

thats what really intriqued me was the 4 speed with the big block in there.  That thing has to haul some booty considering they were so small and putting a large engine in there like that with a 4 speed.

I never really saw a 4 speeder with 383 inside.  I dont know the values of the cuda, but I thought it was high so I just checked on ebay and for his car it is high, but to me the tranny/engine combo sounds sick.  I was thinking 8k max for his car only becuase to me what he has then put another 4k into to get it running condition?

I looked at 2nd gen charger value and well they are all over the place I couldnt place a value on mine per say, but 25k would be nice to fund this little cuda

I'm not sure I'd trust a NADA value whether it was high or low myself.  In any case I think you'd be hard pressed to buy it for 5k.

didnt know nada did old cars (or I forgot) seems the price is about right for my 68 charger at 23k middle ground low is like 13k and high 45k. 

Heh, I emailed the cuda owner see what he saids asked if I can come look at it this weekend and see if the charger goes up for sale afterwards lol.

Used cars yes, but I worked many years in the classic car business myself and never found them reliable.

  all cars are used.... even classics. Hell nothing is going to give you a exact number.... better go find a psychic and crystal ball for that! But looking at that Barracuda it needs a lot and I personally would not give anymore than $5000! Is it rare yes but as my grandfather always said "rare is not always desirable" Now if that was a 70 383 4 speed Cuda that was in that same shape then yes I could see that price being justified.

First of all, that car is NOT worth $18,000 that's for sure. Maybe $5,000-$6,000k tops. Second, I would NEVER sell that Charger to buy that Barracuda.

not worth the price he is asking..lots of missing parts...and those little cars are really prone for body rot in places you cannot see. We had a 68 notchback..was a nice car...but it's still an "A" body no matter how you look at it

Hi Folks,

I love early Barracuda's and once had a 68 383 4-barrel auto.
It drove terrible and you couldn't use the power especially in the wet.

Great cars indeed but the thought of not be able to post on DC.com would rule out owning another one LoL!

That one is missing a bunch of stuff and looks like it might be pretty crusty under the left fender.  As I lok harder at the photos and think about how pictures hide I have to retract and say that it could prove to be a lot of work and money to bring it up to standard.

Complete but unrestored 67-69 Barracudas with /6 to 318 motors get advertised usually for $5-9k.  Don't know what they sell for, obviously.  But a big block car is fairly rare and most are autos.  If it isn't completely rusty under I could see this car going for $12-14k.

The main problem with A-bodies, in most cases, seems like the high price of entry plus high restoration costs means most are even worse than B-bodes at turning a profit.  They have to be a labor of love.  A car like this, bought at a low enough price, could be the exception.

I personally really like the 67-69 Barracudas in notchback form.  I could own a smallblock/4-speed car.  They sort of have the late Corvair sort of vibe, which to me is a positive.
