I had a little cash windfall come my way so I decided to treat the 69 to a new steering wheel since I like the woodgrain ones so much.  Called up Tony's Parts and had this beauty sent my way.  :icon_smile_big:

Yes.  I don't have a better pic right now unfortunately but yes it's all nice and dark without any pits on the spokes and the woodgrain is like the day it was made.

  very nice!
I bought the repop from classic this past summer, if I'd known you could get great originals like that one I would have waited.
Hats off too you :2thumbs:

Fred

That's a very nice wheel.  Well worth spending your windfall on.  :2thumbs:

I should fess up on the windfall because it makes the story even sweeter.  As some of you know, my wife and I split up this year.  During this process I played a never ending game of mental judo against her in order to come out favourably in the legal battle (which I did very much btw :icon_smile_big:) sooooo, as part of this strategy I complained to her endlessly about how much it cost me when her lawyer sent a revised draft of the agreement back.  It was a lie but my goal was to keep her on edge.  She finally got so fed up with my bitching about it that she offered to pay the non-existing extra fee to shut me up.

I spent it on this.  :D

Fred

As you say.......all the sweeter coming from her. You lucky son of a gun!

It cost me everything I had to bet rid of my first wife but I would gladly have given more.

It wasn't easy but I kept the house, the cars, most of the furniture and she pays me.  And I'll smile every time I hold that steering wheel. ( I would have anyway but...)

Me too but it sure did suck when the kids were told and no steering wheel is worth that.
