From the pictures that's the first 383 with a distributor mounted at the rear of the block I've ever seen. Gee, maybe it's really a 318. I wonder what else in the sellers description might be incorrect?

That drivers side rear lower valance/valance corner is completely sculpted out of mud. Wonder if its from damage or rust....

He did add a correction lower in the listing stating it was a 318. Obviously he knows nothing about the car or cars from his description. First thing I would do is take a blow torch to those custom door panels.
I'd be surprised to see it go over 15. It may be a almost rust free California car but it still needs a lot of TLC.

which makes ya think what else creeps under the car thats worse than what he actuallly knows.  He is gonna try to sell the thinking its worth 25k and tell folks it can be worth 100ks plus once restored.  Most people who think this dont know much about cars.....

bull

Apparently there was a big sale on that blue "marbled" vinyl back in the 80s or something. My car had that same nasty stuff on the door panels and headliner.

myk

Hey, it drives in forward and reverse!  I didn't know that was an option in '68?!

JB400

It's up past $11k as of my posting.  Personally, I don't think it's worth more than $15k, but I wouldn't be surprised if it hits $18k.

He did say it was hit in the rear and claims it was bondo'd

Ill be surprised if it hit 18k well see if the winner pays is another question.  YOu know how it goes most buyers get all excited and release after looking over the pics for the 100th time its not worth it.

Is that driver's side mirror correct. I don't recall ever seeing that style of mirror  :shruggy:

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
