Hi guys, i've been a member her for years, but no Charger. Just dreaming. Well, it's getting closer to buying one. Real close.
QUESTION for 1970 experts...
See this 70? http://fredericksburg.craigslist.org/cto/4210448633.html
"" UNMOLESTED Original."" Ok, it looks very straight, but we have 1969 seat in the picture.

Didn't the strippo base Charger come with a bench seat?

Someone likely swapped them in.  "unmolested, original" are far overused, much like "barn find, survivor, rust free, easy restored, and frame up".

so true so true!
I am going to give him a call. I notice some pics are from 2007.

It looks as if the fender tag is still there, so take a smart phone with you so you can decode it.  That will tell you how "unmolested" it is.

Stretch

Stripper or not you could still order what you wanted. I had a '68 road runner that was a base model. It had bucket seats and console, radio delete. Auto on the column. 383/727.

I guess someone popped the $200.00 for buckets but didn't go the extra $50.00 for the floor shift console.  :shruggy:

I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!

bill440rt

Seats definitely not original, from a '68-'69 ('69 pattern on them).
Wrong wheels, and what looks to be a quickie spray bomb job on the engine.
I'd say she was groped a little.  :yesnod:

It looks pretty clean, but hard to tell from those pics.  Not a big deal, but the grill appears to have been painted over black or repainted.  It just doesn't scream survivor as suggested.  It could still be a good deal though.

Ghoste

I think you should go over there with 15k in your pocket, check the car over real well, and if it looks good make him an offer.

Saw this ad for stripper 70 Charger parts on CL earlier today if you want the bench.  http://newjersey.craigslist.org/pts/4187509712.html

If you want decent 70 bucket cores to trade for the 69's shoot me a PM.

Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Sublime/Sixpack

Offer him $7500 because of how someone molested the grille, interior, and engine bay for starters.
1970 Sublime R/T, 440 Six Pack, Four speed, Super Track Pak

troy.70R/T

I see it also has 69 Tail lights and is missing the 70 tail light trim

A383Wing

not all 70's had the big tail light trim panel

Ghoste

Specifically the base XH models.

resq302

surprised no one mentioned the chrome rims that were a 68 thing also.

Well they look so much better than trim rings.  (sorry  :Twocents:)

But good eye in all seriousness.

It would be nice but I don't see anyone selling that for $7500. The 15k that Ghost suggested is closer to what it's worth.  :Twocents:  If you want an actual survivor that has everything correct and looks good you would have to double even that to buy it.

is it my eyes, or does that radiator look small? I mean smaller than normal?

Scroll up, see my reply.  :yesnod:

Doesn't look like a bad car, just not a "survivor" car.

wonder if it's a slant 6 radiator? Or maybe a slant six car with a 318 transplant?

Looks like a small rad with mount extension on drivers side
