hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you are being bothered by people about your car. don't get me wrong, I like the attention and all but yesterday I was waiting in a drive through with my 5 year old and a old hippie looking guy opened the passenger door and started asking all these questions. it scared my son but I would never be rude about it. I've had the car about a year now and loved it at first but it's kinda getting old now. I know i'm blessed to have it but do you guys deal with that stuff?

hatersaurusrex

That sucks.  You should sell it to me for cheap :)

If some stranger opened the door of any of my cars, they'd be at risk of a punch to the face.

Sublime/Sixpack

Nope, have not had a problem, nothing negative.   Only positive, verbal compliments, thumbs up and such from people.

What? He opened YOUR door? Yeah, that's a good way to get shot.

I hate the world too, but you just have to regulate your passions and deal with each offense as it comes; every waking day life will find some way to piss you off if you let it.  As for your specific example, that's just symptomatic of the global lack of respect towards one another and our properties; we're so morally bankrupt that nothing is sacred anymore...

Ghoste

I take those offers as a compliment but just opening the door and sticking his head in is going waaay over the line.

Opening your DOOR???  :o
Can of whoop-ass, anyone??  :shruggy:   :popcrn:

Can't say I had anything that extreme happen, that's definitely crossing the line.

Im sure all of out reactions are to punch the dude in the face, but its a double edged sword.
You do it and next time your car is out unattended for a couple minutes who knows what the bum would do to it. He has nothing to lose well except maybe getting shot lol.

Up here in Canada its so social that everyone knows they won't get shot for doing something like that as we are de-armed.

Ghoste

And with your five year old son in the back its even more of a wonder you didn't react instinctively.  Preserving my car the next time its unattended would have taken a far distant second to protecting my child.

If I ever get my car done, and some idiot did this to me,

You'd see a posting in the interior section :

Removing blood splatter from white Legendary door panel ?

Any tips ?

charger_fan_4ever

tucknroll

Opening the door is going a bit too far...   otherwise I've learned to just keep moving and say Thanks! as I'm turning the key and getting the heck outta there.  :shruggy:
