Last month for a unknown reason, they  ban me from my account I had for a good 7 or 8 years, and I still have no clue why they did it. So, I made a new one 3 weeks ago, got it all up and close to what my original one was, and this morning, they ban me from this account, and again, I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT THE HELL I AM DOING!!! This whole thing really pissed me off, so I am done forever with their crap. It sucks too cause I was trying to see if Robin McQeen would sell me all the cab lights and wiring off the truck it is maybe going to part out.  :brickwall:  :icon_smile_angry:

I don't bother with it.  Too many people spend their lives on it just to see what everyone else is doing.  Then again, there are others that think they have to post every little detail of their day on it.

I liked Facebook for all the car and truck groups though. I learned a lot in them.  :yesnod:

I say:

"Why ?"

THE END.

I was on facebook for awhile and quite it. Looking back it seems all the more a waste of time.
I did enjoy the cars in barns page though.

There are some glitches on facebook that annoy me, but it has never given me any trouble. I stay on it because of family & friends that have moved to different parts of the country that I haven't seen in years. I also like to see who my 14 year old converses with. There are a handful of people that will post all kinds of meaningless drivel but you can change settings on your account to turn off their "amazing breakfast photos" feed. (Which I have turned off...lol)

Just yesterday I found out that a teacher I had in high school, someone who had a big influence on my career choice, is still alive at the age of 84 & losing some of his mental capacity now. Someone gave me his address so I'll be sending him a card with some photos. Facebook is definitely overrated, but it does have a plus side to it.

I use it to keep up on friends & family.  Would I be on it if we were living back where I'm from, probably not.

Driver, why give up so easy?  Did you contact FB the 1st time they deleted your account?

If you want, I can contact them & ask them why?

TruckDriver

Mike, I asked them, and when they emailed me back the first time they deleted my account, they said something to the affect I do not meet Facebook's standards, and the decision was final.  :rotz:

Yeah that sucks Pete  :-\ I never seen you causing any trouble or posting crap like some do. I agree with Bob & Mike, it's nice to see all your family's pics and you can download all the pics they post. I also see old friends from school and you can hook up with them from time to time.

The things complete strangers are willing to share is mind boggling.

The only reason why i have a facebook account is so i can stalk my teenage daughter, same with twitter.  I never tweet, i almost never post on facebook, some of the extended family across the country keep up with each other, but i have little interest in their daily lives sad to say.  The sad part is you can't get facebook to shut down your kids accounts and ban them for breaking the rules.  Can't wait till the kids graduate and i can divorce myself of the need to track what they say and do online.  I'm an original PC/internet geek, been on it since before there was web pages, I work in the industry, but can't stand what teens get away with online and the lack of control we have due to privacy rules of FB and twitter.  If i want to talk to car buddies online, I participate on one of the many forums i'm a part of.  Thats enough.

The intent of  Face Book (FB) is to post all the stuff about what I'm doing and brag about "me"...I never bother to read anyone else's posts  :2thumbs:

Sad to say but I know lots of couples that were fine before FB came along and they started connecting with old flames or looking for new flames. I haven't never had a FB page and never will. Just seems like trouble waiting to happen to me!!

Facebook is free, there's no monthly fee to use it. Nazi's killed for free, they didn't bill anyone for it. I don't see how you missed the similarity.
