What size gauge wire do I run from the coil to the distributor? Mine looks very old.

I think 16 or 18 gauge wire will be fine.

You should be able to buy one ready made for quite cheap.

How are your plug wires?  Plug wires and coil wires are usually bought and replaced in sets.  I just use the coil wire that come with whatever plug wire kit I buy; usually an 8 or 8.5mm from Taylor...

I think he is asking for the trigger wire.

You think?  I take it as the primary from the coil to the distributor.  :shruggy:

I took the question as about the primary wire from the coil - terminal to the points. But, perhaps we should ask the original poster what wire he was asking about in more detail. I could see how one could also think it was the High voltage wire between the coil tower and center of the distributor cap.

I still say it's the main wire from the coil to the 'dizzy... :shruggy:

I called Trigger wire to the one Pete said... - lead of coil to the points... isn't this a trigger ? :P
