Guys, almost done with the complete rewire. Can anyone help me with what I do with the 'resistance cable' on the back of the wiper switch please? One end is in the old multi-plug that goes onto the switch. the wire comes off the 'horizontal' terminal in the picture, and the diagram shows the other end bridging to a terminal on the back of the switch, but there aren't any there... any ideas?

Thanks,

K9

that's a new one on me...never seen it before...this is the first I have heard of this

K9COP

Right, me too. It's twinned out of the back of the plug on the same terminal as the red wire, so I guess I have to do something with it. It's not on my spare loom at all....  :shruggy:

your switch pictured does not have that extra terminal at the lower right hand corner like it shows in the wiring diagram

wondering now if your switch is a 2 speed and the wiring diagram is a 3 speed circuit?

personally, I would not worry about it

K9COP

Could well be. I'll terminate the wire and insulate it so it's out of harms way.

Nice. Thanks guys. I traced the wire in my spare/old loom, and it takes (roughly) the path shown in green below out of the back of the wiper switch, then along the green line, and ending in a single female spade terminal (which I guess would go onto the 'missing' terminal on the switch..), so I guess with the length of it, it would make sense for it to have some resistance....

Thanks again,
