aargh; make one change on your car and it creates 10 other problems!
My 383 was originally a 2 bbl car, but during my restoration and engine rebuild I put on an aluminum 4bbl manifold, and a new Edelbrock 4bbl carb. Went to hook up the accelerator cable and the kickdown linkage, and they do not line up with the attachment point now; it looks like they need to move an inch or so out towards the drivers fender from where they are.
My question is, is there a difference between a 2bbl linkage bracket, and a 4bbl throttle linkage bracket? The 4bbl carb is much wider which pushes everything out, so I'm thinking there must be a difference in the brackets.

YES it is different, the piece that hooks to the carb is shorter on the 2 barrel . & the cable mount is further back on the 2 b

How true.   :yesnod:
