Viewable Map of Charger Locations! (~800 mapped already!)

Been working on this map for the '66/'67 Charger Registry. It goes through the registry and looks up the location of each Charger registered and pins a dot on the map for each one found. '66s are yellow dots and '67s are blue dots. You can even click a dot and information about the Charger will come up, and a picture too if one is available.

Only problem is that it takes a while to add all 717 or so locations to the map. So a popup will appear telling you a script is causing the browser to run slow, and do you wish to abort the script? Just click cancel (do not abort the script) and after about 20-25 clicks of the cancel popup, the map will fully display. I recommend opening it in the LATEST Firefox or netscape browser, not internet explorer. Otherwise your PC might lock up. And you might have to copy/paste this link if it tells you you are not using the correct map API key when just clicking on the link. Anyhow...

ENJOY!

I didnt heed your warning and tried it on IE.....locked up the PC and shut down all my open IE windows....

Oh well.  the premise looks like a cool idea though.

PS----almost ready to "have my first cup of Java" ;)

It didn't take too long to load for me even though it gave me a warning message about it causing the browser to run slow after about one second. The IE problem could be an issue with which Java Virtual Machine is installed. The standard Windows version isn't really compliant and tends to break.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

TruckDriver

It locked up my computer and I had to do a reboot.

Cool Jon! I even see my blue dot showed up for Delaware! I opened the page up in Firefox and didn't have any problem other than locking the computer up for about a minute or so while the data loaded.

Wakko

Worked fine with me on Firefox.  There's a guy with a 1st gen Hemi car around here, I gotta try to find him and get him to come on here.  Has a '69 Track Pack car too.

Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.

Jon, Firefox on my mac handled it with ease. It is the only browser I have used for about 6 months now and I love it. Cool site!

It would be cool to map them all on Google Earth, I can see my 66 Coronet from space.

47*50'39.48" N   122*18'10.90" W     With these coordinates you can zoom in to my 66 Blue/White Coronet sitting in the backyard.

I could make a .kmz file pretty easy to map them in google earth, only problem is that google earth doesn't like to try and map a lot of endpoints, it will crash. I've tried it.
