69 C500 and Daytona vin sequence differences?

I know someone who is looking at a Daytona but the owner thinks it might be a 500? How can we tell? It has a steel nose and is Orange. Need answers fast !!!

with one exception, a daytona VIN should end with 355101 or higher.

It's not even a real 500. Just a car wearing some tags that is trying to be passed off as a 500 now converted into a Daytona. That fender tag was for sale on eBay about 4 years ago

The real 500 was in a junk yard near Vancouver Canada a good dozen years ago.     I have some WW info on the car from 8-16-1976.    Dale Vidulich,  Delta BC, plate #  VXK 533.    54,138 miles.   Red Stripe, Rear window defroster.  The tags were on ebay June of 2007.   Sold for $500.  I had bid $499 on them.         Here is the a photo of the original tags from the ebay auction
