What's the difference between B and E K-frames

'70 B-body ran the sway bar inside, instead of in front, and hanging down.  What is different in '71, and are the same as E-body?  I got what is supposed to be a '71 Challenger K-frame, and want to use in on a '69 Charger.  Will I have any problems?

I don't know all the details on this but I know that the 71 e body k frame will fit a 71-72 b body.  I'm not sure they fit the 2nd gens though, although I'm sure they can be made to fit.  I can only assume the sway bar is like the 70 so you would not be able to use the 69 sway bar.  Hopefully someone else chimes in to elaborate a bit more.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Good question. Been wondering it myself. I just always got the correct one for app. but, I can see where there might be a need for interchange info.

Information I have shows K frame part number for 71 E and B body is 3583074 for non Hemi cars.
1970 PN 3466477 is for E body cars except Hemi and 340 6pk
1970 PN 2962090 is for B body cars except Hemi or 440
1970 PN 3466479 is for B body cars with 440.
I know this may not be much help because it doesn't address the differences. They may be easy fixes or not.
This info comes from an interchange manual and they don't get into what the differences are.
Even a side by side check of two different K frames would be a head scratcher to compare all mount points.

Charger RT

my 68 charger has a 70 B body K frame in it with 71 B body lower control arms, spindles, and sway bar.

Are the part numbers for '70 B and E body the same?

68RED4SPEED

70-71 E-body are same as 71-72 B-body, the bracket for the steering box has a different angle because those bodies are wider then 66-70 B-bodys.

Moparparts

X2 the angle is different for mounting the steering box from a 70-72 E-Body to a 66-70 B-Body

Yeah, there goes the hope of any easy B/E interchange.
