Comments on the Stab-il gas treatment?

Hello all,

Just curious to see if anyone has used, or is using, the Stab-il gas marine treatment in the blue bottle to help protect your engine from the ethanol in today's gas?

A friend recommended using it to help save our carburetors, but since I tend to add a little lead treatment in with my gas already - is it safe to actually mix both: the Stab-il + lead treatments together?

Thank you for any replies,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I use the Star Tron fuel system treatment made by Star Brite.  It made my engine run smoother and seemed to have more power than when I was using the Sta-bil red stuff.  The stuff also goes a lot farther than what the Sta-bil does.  The nice thing about it too is that you can pick it up at most Wal-marts in the marine section or some auto parts stores.

Thanks Brian for the tip!  :2thumbs:

I practically live in Wal-Mart, Advance Auto, lol, so I'll be sure to grab a bottle on my next trip  ;).

Best regards,
Aaron
