413 cable shift trany

I have the option to buy a "running" 1974 440 for $300, and the cable shift 727 from a 1964 413 (still in car) New Port for $100. I plan on installing them in my 72 Charger. Can I use this trany in my 72 Charger? thank you for your help

The '64 cable shift trans won't readily work in the '72.

Other than the obvious need to adapt the shifter and its two cables into the '72, the rear has a flange for the Ball & Trunnion u-joint, the rear mount location is in the wrong place for a '72 and the speedo cable provisions won't work on a '72.
