Ive spent the last 8 hours trying to get my 440 installed. I left the 4 speed in the car. I did not know how much trouble it is to align everything. Guess I need to pull the 4 speed and put it together outside the car and reinstall everything together. Anyone here ever
put an engine in without taking out the 4 speed? I get dizzy if I lay under a car more that 10-15 minutes which is why I wanted to leave
the 4 speed in. Plus, Ive got H exhaust pipes that have to come out.

When we put my 440 in we separated the gear box and bell housing, setup the clutch and bolted the bell housing on, then after the motor was bolted in you just have to stab the gear box and tighten the 4 bolts and your done.
