Some Guy Took A Picture Of My License Plate...?

I was driving home from work today and this guy must have felt I did something wrong (maybe I cut him off, I dont know. Hard to pay attention to that in Detroit rush hour traffic) so he got along side me and took a picture/video of me and then my license plate. Do I need to be concerned that some nutjob can track me down with my plate or anything? If he took it to the cops and it turns out I cut him off is there anything that can happen from that?

was it the driver who took the pic? because if it was, hes screwed if he takes it to the cops, he'll be giving them proof that he was on his phone while driving  (im assuming thats illegal there)

as for him tracking your plate, no he cant, unless hes a hardcore computer hacker, he wont be able to track you down with your plate, most he can do is contact your insurence company through his, but they wont give him your details, trust me, i just had something similar happen to me a month ago  :smilielol:

Unless he has access to the Motor Vehicles Dept. He can't run your plate. Only cops can do this.

No it is not illegal to be on the phone while driving . . . but it is to text while driving.   :shruggy:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

While more and more states are disallowing it, you can still get a lot of info from certain states. Publicdata.com is just one such site that you can use for things like that.

Well, run your plate through "public data" and see if it shows up. I have never heard of it ?. :Twocents:

Oh I have. I subscribed to it for a couple years. There is a lot more information out there than people think.

You say in Detroit?  They don't have the manpower to do any actual police work, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
