I got a 68 Dodge Charger diecast car that my is going to paint the same colors as my car. It looks like a frame off restoration.

I did not know that they can come apart like this.

Thanks MikeD

bull

Looks like it's pretty straight and cancer free. ;D

Now that's dedication. I have the same one - it's the Bullitt one ain't it? I even took a dukes one and ground on it to re-create the rust on the quarters and rockers like mine and then shot about six different colors on it (like mine) I will get out the camera soon and try to post it, it's pretty funny. What color is yours supposed to be? Mine's Medium Dark Touquoise Metallic with a black top, black guts, and black tail stripe.  - dm

I've got the same one and am doing the same.  :icon_smile_big: I bet you had trouble with the screws in the back above the rear tires. :icon_smile_big:  I know I did!

Shouldn't cost you $10,000 or more for the resto, but to get Galen to veriphonify it - well that's a 4 year wait. ;D

Does the manufacturer make the '69 as well? The taillights and all?

This car is kind of close, but a 69 and bling bling wheels  ::) ::) thought you might find it interesting.

Good luck with yours Mike, looking good so far.

I clicked on this link thinking I was going to see a bunch of smart-ass replies about how Chargers are not a "Frame Off" restoration.  I was pleasantly supprised, and think it is a great project too!

If anyone can tell me who makes a nice 68 model, I would like to try the same thing.

Troy

Rocky, I got the metal "Bullitt" model (I think that's what Mike is using as well).

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

You could also find one of the 1:18 ertl models as well.  I've done one of the bullit cars, but they are also widely available from ertl. They both disassemble pretty easily.  Looks good!  Tipopiola

I'm thinkin' it's an Ertl Charger. My Bullit car doesn't have removeable doors, the brown '69 Ertl car does.
(Sorry about the glass glare in the pics)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
