I converted both of mine to the Mopar electronic ignition. It's fairly easy to do yourself.
Are you saying the heater won't shut off? For a temp fix you could install an in-line shut off valve in one of the heater hoses in the engine compartment.

By the time you play around with heaters hoses, you could fix the cable ? Heater tap , more info to why its on or getting hot inside, have tried playing with heater controls , Fred is assuming you in Australia, distributor mod or accell, or one of the hei built in on eBay , curve on them not great, you have to take it to some one who knows to set curve, but in doing that you have also found the person to install it,

Quickest fix for the heat, remove both hoses from the water pump and put plugs in the pump housing.  Your heater valve is stuck which could be a leaky seal or a stuck cable most likely.  Is this an A/C car?

Not sure about the ignition.  I have the orange box, that's all I know.

Welcome back!   :2thumbs:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Hi,

On the electronic ignition conversion, I'm sure you will get many opinions. I like the Mopar Performance Orange box conversion kits. They are simple to install and come with good installation instructions, not to mention everything in one complete kit. Also, if you need to, you can get a standard Chrysler control box in any auto parts store to get you home again. They use the stock ignition coil as well.

Mike, I agree with Dirk, this is the quickest way.  I did this on my black Charger, worked great. Just take a wrench and pull out the two places the hoses slide on, and put in two plugs.  They may come out kind of hard. Oh and wrap some Teflon tape on the plugs, at least I did to prevent leaks.

As far as ignition, I run a Mallory set up, works great. It good to see you back on the board.

As a side note, I did get your text last night, we were at a get together, will get back with you today.

^^^This is all I use. Anyone can do this easy conversion.
Bypass the heater core.
