does anyone know about the following item from moper tech mag: tip:big prodution engines like 1958-71 440 6-bbl and 426 Hemi v-8 engines used a vapor separator or filter (77R06295) mounted after the mechanical fuel pump and before the carbs to help solve vapor-lock problems that can occur in hot weather. This special part should be used on all street HP engines, if possible (replace every few years).  Does it help? found then at a price of $75 to $80.

There has been about 4 different thread about this exact part within the last 2 months.  It was factory part on a 440 HP engines and 426 hemi. The car was also equipped with 1/4" return line that came from the separator . I just got finished installing one my 68 charger. I don't know if it will solve every heat/ vapour lock problem but it does help. It's OEM part they wouldn't put it there for nothing !!
