Hi Buddies !!!

Recently I have been talking by email with an interior parts dealer from ebay. First I was talking about try to reproduce the 74 rear Lower panels since nobody reproduce them. After send some pics of the difference between 74 panels and earliers and he answered me about that only difference he could see is the extra panel to hide the seatbelt retractor and would need just to make the cut out. I talked him also about the worry of quality and grain pattern reproduction since I have know that side by side with an OEM panel the difference is very noticeable. I hope he is understanding that I would need the entire panel with the extra trim to hide the retractor.

I don't know if there is some other 74 owner with this interest

So now I'm hopping my worries are being heard and taking care to make best quality repro parts what I know they are very poor.

Maybe this could be also a heads up call to make good dash pads and some more desireable parts what I also know repro pieces are not really good quality.

Seller is from www.vehicle-interior-parts.com

Guys, if we don't acclaim for quality parts, we will never get them.

Thanks.
Nacho.

Note: on his website appears that SE Rear lowers are not the same that the ones they sell to Hardtops/coupes and in fact on one of his replies told me practically the same. I did let him know on same email that they are the same since difference is on upper panels and not lowers. I'm 99% sure of this but juts in case and if you have another version about this, please let me know.

twilt

That seller is just another vendor of the inferior products manufactured by accu-form plastics. Its a lose/lose proposition in my opinion. If people buy the junk made now, the same junk will continue to be made. Why should the manufacturer invest in better tooling if the crap will sell. If the crap doesnt sell, then the manufacturer will decide that there is no market for the panels.
