I noticed that now you can see ANYONE's photos, which means ANYONE can see mine. I'm not really comfortable with that, I just think if I ever end up on the news they'll use a picture of me with a lampshade on my head for a photo. Know a way to restrict photos to friends only? I went through all the options but didn't see anything

Wonder when that started anyway?  :popcrn:

Click on "Edit Profile", then click on "photos", then up near the top click on "albums". You will get pics like the one below, and then click on the part I have circled and you can set each album for who sees them.

You guys also need to watch out for what you put in your photo bucket account.  Some pix you post here from there, links to your account.

OK Tilar I follow, and notice that MOST of my albums are already set to "friends" but there are a few albums such as IoS photos, mobile uploads and time line photos that just have a little * thing, I can't change the settings. All I get is a pop up saying I can change each picture (see below) does that mean I have to change each picture individually?...Thx!

Good point about photobucket Stroker, but with those pics I post I expect to be public domain, my Facebook not so much

Just a guess but I'm going to say that is probably true. I'm not sure of "IoS photos" because I don't have one of those albums, but the others are albums that facebook adds to all accounts and that may be something they set globally.

I wasn't singling you out in particular AK, but to everyone in general.  I clicked someone's pic from photo bucket last night and got into some pretty weird stuff including some not so pretty nudity :eek2: What one does in their private life is one thing, but I'd prefer you not to share with anyone here. I don't ask and you don't tell.   Look for another forum if you don't mind.

                                                                           Thanks

Strange, because Photobucket usually kicks those type pics out. It doesn't take long either.

There's a global setting in your profile (go to the little gear in the top right corner for settings, and click privacy options) that allows you to turn off posting to anyone but people on your friends list or even only a few select people should you choose.  This includes pictures and will keep them private going forward.   Also you can go back and limit anything you've *already* posted in the same way.    This is the easy way to do what you're asking about without doing it one at a time.

If you lock it down like this the only thing anyone can see is your profile pic and the header pic on the main page.   Of course if someone you know manually posts a link to a photo somewhere they can be seen, but that comes down to trusting people on your list.
