First drive of the season, the Charger spilled coolant..

Hey guys..

Yesterday I took the Charger out for the first time this year.. Not a long trip, about 15 minutes.. When I came back and put it in the garage, a short while later I heard something spilling from the front of the car.. Oh no..
Nothing was spilling when I turned it off..
Found out coolant was running from the overflow hose, maybe a quart spilled on the floor.. The it stopped, and everything seems tight, no more leaks..
I suspect I might have added a little to much when I was making sure the frost wouldn't damage the motor, but I don't know.. That, to me, would explain the overflow, but I'm afraid I'm no expert on this..
Any thoughts from brighter minds than mine?

Mine will do that when I fill the radiator.  No biggy, it will seek the level where it's happy.....

Usually 1" below the fill neck is optimal to avoid "pukeage"

just leave it a tiny bit low. or it will reach that level on its own shortly

Um......Overflow[Puke tank].....You can get them at any local auto parts store. Can be mounted so as to hide them. Never again need be embarrassed at a car show in 100 degree weather. Run one, your car will thank you.

Thanks for the comments guys, I will be looking in to that overflow tank thing.. :-)

I'm using a stainless steel coffee cup with a brass fitting in the cap to connect the overflow hose. It works great!
