Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

nvrbdn

Well thanks for the votes toward keeping the post going.  We will see what the Mod's have to say about it when I start posting about bodywork.

Foot Ulcer Had to go to the VA Hospital again today for another Skin Graft, sure shoots the heck out of a day off. :brickwall: But, I did get some very good news! Seems this maybe the last Skin Graft! :coolgleamA: Wound in the foot is so small they did not feel it was worth Measuring

When I got home it was just to darn hot to work on her, 98 degrees. I am off Friday and maybe I make a little headway.

OK, had a few Cam 2's and felt like playing with Miss Lumpy.  Sounds a little more like herself.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/Best_zps43c94301.mp4.html

Did see the water pump housing drips just a little when I first started her. More than likely because we did not tighten down the bottom bolt that is used for tightening the P/S pump.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/Best1_zps8a5ae33f.mp4.html

Seems the 750 Holley is leaking from the front bowl gasket of the passenger side. We had the bowls off, so with some luck I just need to tighten the screws a little.

Water is moving in the radiator! :coolgleamA: After she warmed up, I check the Tran's fluid and it is a quart low so I did not but her in gear to be safe.

I am listening to the sound clip over and over again! One time I went into a convent store and left Miss Lumpy running and the young girl that was the clerk looked confessed and was looking around the parking lot. Asked her what was wrong?

She said "It sounds like there are some Harley's in the parking lot but I don't see them?  :smilielol:

Well I am off Friday but it might be a bust.

Sue seems to getting worse. She still cannot eat much and still losings weight. So I will be taking her to her Doctor at 9:00 AM, then to the hospital for some blood test. I am really starting to worry some now.  ::) I am looking forward to the days again I can spend my days off with out going to a hospital!

I all so have to do the running she normally does, buy food, pay water bill, go to the Library and so forth.

Plus it will be very hot Friday! Man I need to get Miss Lumpy inside! Garage has A/C.  :coolgleamA:

Will pick up a couple of Ballast Resistors, ATF, 60 Amp Fuses and a inline fuse holder. That way I can start sorting out the Electrical Demons!  Hope to get the wiring harness off so I can work on it in the A/C garage.  :2thumbs:

All so need to build a means to gravity feed fuel supply to the 750 Holley. That way I can use the fuel pump to pump out the 8 year old gas!

Hope to have some updates worth typing about in a few days.

Car can always wait... I hope you & the wife {Sue} feel much better soon, your health is everything... best wishes & good luck... How about just syphoning out the 8 year old fuel ??, instead of running it all thru you pump... just a thought, might save you hassles down the road, especially from all the rust & sediment crap floating or settled in the fuel tank, then you can just drop the tank {after 8 years} & thoroughly clean it out very well, probably need to replace the sock on the end of the sending unit pick-up too & your fuel filters too... :Twocents:

Well it has been hot as heck and with doing the wife's duties no Miss Lumpy time yet.

I do have my Gravity Feed gas problem figured out so I can get the gas tank empty! Might even get her up and down the driveway Tuesday so I can say I drove her!  :scratchchin:

Spent about a hour or so on the phone with Bruce (R/T Green. Had a great time yanking with him! He is from the old site and we talked about some of my stories I posted back then.

See you all later.

Well life got in the way again from playing with Miss Lumpy again. :shruggy: Dog had to go to the vet, that cost me $200.00. Had to run to St Louis, do paper work for BoS and get that faxed. All so had to do some paperwork for Sues SSI stuff and fax it as well. Left the house at 8:20 AM and did not get done till 5:30 PM then it was Beer Thirty! Talked with Bruce for about a hour when cooking dinner.

Maybe Friday?  :shruggy:

Jim or Allen, either one of you have a couple of gas cans you can bring over? Bigger the better, I have no idea how much goo gas is left in the Road Runner.

What I hope to do is.

1 Get the wiring harness of the car, well this is easy.
2 Install a gas filter in front of the fuel pump to catch the crap in the line and tank.
3 Get the rear tires up with the jack and stands. (Sure hope the brakes hold):eek2:
4 Gravity feed the carb and pump out the foul brew in the tank.

I all so need to get some more gas, Miss Lumpy likes Cam 2 as much as me!

what day or days would be good for you allen? of course we would need it to be good for ken also. ha ha since he owns the car and lives there. would give me more time to empty another gas can so i would be good for ten gallons of catch fuel if there is that much. :scratchchin:

Ever dink real Cam 2? I did and been belching Gas for 2 hours now!  :smilielol: Knew I should not been using a beer can to pour gas in the carb!  :shruggy:

First thank you Jim for coming by!  :2thumbs: It was great to have some one here to be the fire department!

Gravity Feed system worked great! Seems Miss Lumpy had a round 4 gallons of gas still in her.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/GravityFeed_zpscdc3779e.mp4.html

Is gas really yellow?  ;D Boy that was some nasty stuff that came out of the gas tank. Still Tasting Gas When I Belch!

After she was running from the gas tank (About 6 gallons) I backed her down the driveway to where it was flat.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-9-05-3_zps6fa06abe.jpg.html]

Jim checked the ATF, and none was showing on the Dipstick!  :eek2: I only bought a quart, so he made a quick trip to get some more.

This time it felt much better when I pulled her into gear. She made it back up the driveway!  ;D

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/MovingForward_zps66033f3d.mp4.html

Then I decided to take her around the block.   :vert: Here is me pulling away.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-9-05-4_zps735888ab.jpg.html]

Note there is no smoke, boy that was getting ready to change! :brickwall: My housing complex is a quarter mile oval. When I was on the back straight (1/2 away around) I pulled her down to first and I got a ton of smoke! Never dropped the hammer, just got the RPM's up to around 2500. Me pulling in.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/Smoking_zps837ece10.mp4.html

With the trans being 2 quarts low, I hoping the dip stick O Ring is leaking. It all so sounds like one of the tires looked up and locked up for just a second. But after sleeping for 8 years, there is going to be problems!

Come to think of it?  :scratchchin: I never really heard the 727 shift?  :scratchchin: Better double check that! OH, the tires, want to talk about flat spots!  :eek2: Felt like I was going over a speed bump every few feet!
