Nice looking train set :2thumbs:  Have you considered mounting your railroad on a soffit hanging in the garage?  It'd free up some floor space and let you put the RR in the garage.  It'd also fit above your garage door.

Stroker, when my garage door is up, I have about 6 inches clearances, that is it! I have trees taller than that!

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-IM000003_zpsb80b1986.jpg.html]

The cliffs in the background are 18 inches tall and when done, will be about 30 inches.

By the way Stroker, nice boobs, who's are they?  :2thumbs:

Back to the Road Runner. Messed with the trunk some more, got forceful and keys started to bend.

Keys teeth should faces up right?  :shruggy: It has been a long time after all. After I get back from the Ulcer Clinic Tuesday, that darn trunk is coming open!  :brickwall: Rather it be by drill, or a 2 Pound Hammer and a screw driver!

By the way, again I am leaning toward keeping her!

Yes, that's Jennifer Love Hewitt.  I'm due for a new sig.  Here's an old sig that was quite popular as well.

Well back at it today. Allen drop by today and got to ride in his sweet Challenger and we went to the hardware store. Picked a 3/8 dill bit and a 2 foot long screw driver!

Allen was in the trunk first  (I was getting the Cam 2 ready and for his Birthday he got to piss off about 10,000 ants! While he could get the screw driver in the slot, he could not turn in!

Then It was my turn to fight the ants and the trunk latch. While I was trying to turn it from the inside Allen was using the key from the outside, nothing. It would still not move! :brickwall:

I sprayed down the latch from the inside with Liquid Wrench and Allen went back in while I was using the key, lid did not pop up.  :-\ We where just about ready to drill the lock when I happen to lift up a little on the trunk and it moved? Allen was still talking about where to drill and I said "Allen" he kept talking "Allen" and he kept talking then I said Allen, Look as I lifted the trunk lid up!

Not unhappy with what I found at all. After we cleaned the junk out of the trunk and pulled the custom made Carpet and Side Liner / Ant Farm this is what we found.

Funny looking thing on the right is a old fan I am using to dry the trunk. What of the flaking stuff that looks like rotted sheet metal is really old undercoating I sprayed in the trunk in the early 80's to try to make the car quieter when I had the 426 Maxie Wedge in her. I had all so pulled most of the drain plugs out back then as well!

This is the only real bad spot, the right side was the first to rust so that was no surprise.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-2_zps267db11a.jpg.html]

We dug out the tool box, hey the tools did not Rust! :2thumbs: All so found theses, anyone want to trade a pair of Pie Pan's for A post covers?

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-6_zps2b1f7294.jpg.html]

Found my K&N air filter.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-8_zpsd0e2a655.jpg.html]

And got out my Ram Air Air Cleaner, there is some rust.  :-\

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-7_zpsa4c9920b.jpg.html]

But after a quick cleaning I can live with the bases!

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-9_zps259075a5.jpg.html]

But Lid will need to be painted. Where is the most affordable places to but a new decal and Hemi Orange rattle can?

Far as the trunk, it does feel solid! I sat in it and not a groan or a creak  :2thumbs:

Messed with the motor just a little.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-06-25-1_zps125795af.jpg.html]

If it has survived as well as the rest of the car, I should be in good shape!

Good job!!!

A few years back, VegasMike and I went to Utah to pick up a car that C-STRIPES hooked us up with. So we got the car back to Vegas, (19* back to 78* in 5 hours), and went to work on unlocking the trunk. Mike and I are pretty big guys, so we needed a sneaky way in without harming the tail panel. So we grabbed every extension Mike had and with a 1/2 inch (I think) socket and a long bowing bunch of extensions we removed the bolts holding the latch to the lid. It was a bitch getting around all the shit in the trunk, but we got it without too many 4 letter words and in less time than it took to drink a 6-pack.... ;)

Had to work 11 hours today, so I did not get anything done after I got home.  ::) I was hoping to number the wires and pull the distributor.

Rain like heck today, I opened the trunk when I got home and the trunk was dry!  :2thumbs:

See you all later, Ken

If you don't do anything else, do this one thing... Get her running and drive it down the road, maybe across town and back before you make up your mind about selling it...  :Twocents:

:2thumbs:  I agree---make it go---feel it again. You may just want to keep it. That's what these cars do to us.

I closed tonight and it is 10:45 PM, so no Mopar time tonight!  :brickwall:

Far as selling her, she was never really on the market and I have stopped daydreaming about the buy a bike. Am I daydreaming about driving her again? No?  :shruggy: What I am daydreaming about is doing the bodywork!

While I can wrench and know my stuff, I rather do body work! I am looking forward more to working on the trunk floor and getting it looking good again than hearing her run?  :nana:

I wounder how many B Body's can claim to have the original trunk floors that have lived in the Midwest all there lives?  :scratchchin:

So unless Stewart finds me some bring me 10K I am keeping her!

Back when I had the 426 Maxie in her.

If you look close you will see where it says Z-Eater on the quarters, Chevy Doors with Red X's for kills (like fighter pilots) and real close, header dumps under the door like a Super Stock Dodge had.  :icon_smile_big:

It sounds like you are one of those that will regret selling. Your car has been with you for a long time and it needs your attention.
I miss my 68 hemi RR that was a driver for ten years. I still think about fixing it if I still had it.

W S, when the first person called and did not flinch when I said $6500.00 Had a lot of idiots offering me $500.00  :eek2: I could not sleep that night! It would be the first time I did not have a Mopar scenes was 16!

Maybe I will get to wrench some Saturday after work.

So...

Did ya fire that thing up yet?  :shruggy:

:slap:

Budnicks, that picture was from the Mid 80's right around the time Hot Rod Magazine did the Darth Vader Magnum car. While I was not total happy with the color I used (used what I had) I did like the stripes.

Daytona RT/ SE, no I have not started her up yet. But don't worry she will live again! I have been fixated on getting the trunk open, that is off the to do list. Other problem is it either been to Hot, To Dark, Raining or I am to   Cam 2 up to work on her.

So at this point I am 90% sure the train layout is coming down for now so I can get her into the garage!  :scratchchin: Besides, I do some of my best work drinking Cam 2!   I all so have a semi dead garage door opener, and a heavy wooden door. I have to bust my nuts to get the thing open. I have been looking and found a 3/4 HP door opener for $189.00.I would buy it Monday if only I knew what Bank Of Stupid is going to do about modifying my home loan!  :brickwall:

But don't worry folks, I am keeping her and the Mopar Fire Is Alive! I can hardly wait to start on the Body Work! I was digging around on the site and found some of my old pictures that where lost when my old computer died.

Some pictures of my old 69 Charger I did, that Stuart has not used!

Boy that paint is pretty!  :drool5: Oh, the broken wheel you ask? Did a 180 power slide heading to a car show with 41 Husk. Funny the Dukes never broke there wheels!  :shruggy:

Breaking in the Cursed Blower Motor with a carb. That dam motor was cursed!  :brickwall: Anything that could go wrong did!  If I had left the old 426 (Wedge) in it Stuart would have never pride it out on my hand and it would not be in Germany now!

41 Husk and my Charger at a car show. I think that is one that Stuart uses.

After the under hood fire damage was repaired. I swear, the blower motor was cursed! Dam well all most lost the car from the fire!

Sad thing, I never tried to do the Road Runner close to right.  :-\ I all wise had to many other Mopars I was trying to do. Now she is the last one, so she will get all of my attention for a change.

:2thumbs: , More power to you, I'm glad you liked it, your the only one, that has to like it, that's all that really counts anyway... It's just not my thing, but allot of people did those type graphics, back in the 70's-80's-even into the early 90's  :Twocents: good luck with the old Bird
