Hello....

New to this website.  I just recently purchased a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T SE.  It has a 440/bucket/auto/pegleg rear.  I also just aquired a Dana 60 from a 1982 Ford truck.  Now I have a few questiosn regarding this Dana, and exactly what I need to do to it, in order to drop it into my B Body.

From what I have learned, Dana's in B Bodies have axle tubes with a diameter of 3".  The one I have has 3.5" diamter.  My problems now are as followed:

Should/can I remove the axle tubes and replace them with 3" diamter tubes?
Can shock/spring mounts be modified easily to fit the 3.5" diameter (kits available for that)??
If I retain the 3.5" diamter tubes, are there flanges available to weld up to it?
This rear end has 'floating' axles.  What is necessary (is it necessary?) to change it to a 'non floating' (right words?) setup?

Thanks in advance... and I am sure I will have more questions soon...
