bridge is up in my area...my niece was on it...she's OK...

bridge was built in 1955, last inspected Aug, 2010...deemed fair to satisfactory...also deemed functionally obsolete...wonder what WSDOT will say about that?

now news is saying truck (oversized) hit the beams....still should not have collapsed

two people in hospital..in stable condition...no deaths

5.7 near Chester in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

I know Chester well...Lake Almanor area, and on the way to Eagle Lake if one comes up Hwy 5. Didn't feel a thing in the Bay Area. I wonder if the Thermal Curtain will be blamed....

Didn't feel it here, in Sonora... pretty far away, still in the Sierra's farther south... But that's not really a big quake for Calif., that area is really remote, with not much population either, not much to damage there... scare some deer's & bears maybe
