A cut and paste of an email I sent to Todd:

Hello Todd,

Thanks for the link.

My Dad's was the same model, only painted Red with some White.  Ended up parked in a junkyard.  Mexican truck buyers came through one day and cut it up for the drive train.

Door Sign tells me this one did time as a "Carnival Wagon", pulling rides from County Fair to County Fair.

10:00x 20's for tires and rims are few and far between nowadays, split rims were dangerous.  It has those wedge style fasteners for the rims, was always fun trying to tighten them uniformly so the tire would run (near) true and straight.  Some intermodal (train) trailers used 10:00x 20's last I knew.

The 250 Cummins was naturally aspirated, with no Turbo if IIRC.

Wish I was rich, would snap that up for a cool car hauler.  Reserve was cheap.

Dad restored a 1969 White 4000, but justified it by using the truck to haul freight in and around Kansas City.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

as a truck mech, if i could i would grab that up!  cummins are great engines, pretty much everything in that truck is indistructable, and its a dodge....10.00 R 20s are still avalible,we have them on 5 or 6 trucks yet and there are still plenty of guys who know how to safely mount them. but 11R 22.5s are cheaper, and new wheels are like $75 each so the tubeless convershon isnt that big of a deal.
