My garand just arrived and so I'm sitting here field stripping and cleaning it while watching a Band of Brothers marathon

I've owned a few, but they are heavy and only shot 8 rounds.

Lighter than my the rifles I usually hunt with by 3-4 lbs and lighter than my M14 by a lbs 

And for hunting, who needs more than one or two rounds anyways?

1) This isn't a rifle I'm using for work. It'll be used for the local WWII shoot competitions and hunting.

2) How many times do you need to fire and maneuver on a deer? Last I checked deer don't return fire....

Here is a S&W M P "US NAVY Victory" WW2 5 screw. All original parts, numbers matching. Got it for a decent deal. My first revolver and .38 Special caliber.
