Hi,

I'm in the process of doing the front disc brakes on my 71. They are factory floating caliper types and I'm not having any luck in finding hardware kits for them, things like the anti-rattle springs, positioners and caliper pin bushings. Does anyone know what is still available? I'm sure someone else has come up against this before. I can't believe factory disc brakes were that rare on these cars.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the information. About the only parts places we have here are NAPA. Fortunately, my local NAPA's manager is a real Mopar guy and he's great about digging through the old books for stuff, many times to find it is no longer available. I picked up NAPA's reman. calipers which came with all the hardware pieces except what Chrysler calls positioners. They are little arrow shaped clips on the caliper guide screws.

Yeah I know the pieces you're talking about.
I just hate when a place says "they're not available" when you know it is. It just means THEY can't get it!
