Hi all, I am wondering what colors some of the front suspension pieces should be mainly the lower control arms, i have seen them in gold cad as well as all natural, is there one way for 1968 or is it a case of whatever you think is best?

there is a great manual out there that out lines what you are looking for i believe it is for car show judges. i asked the same question earlier this year. there are also some good reading in the archives.

Ok read back a bit after doing some research here and am going to go with Krylon Battery protector coating to give the cosmoline look, cheers guys, this forum is great for reference

you can check out those books on line and read a lot of the information w/o buying i believe.

The lower control arms are natural metal, dipped in amber/gold cosmoline.  That is where the gold color comes from.  Some folks paint them with gold cad, but that isn't right.

This is mine.......you can still get Cosmoline.
