1969 Bar none for obvious reasons mentioned. IMHO, many of the '68 & '70 fans I've talked with seem to pick these two over the '69 due to the same reasons the '69 is so popular.

Oh boy, how many times are we going to "discuss" this issue.  We have had surveys and countless threads on this topic.
FWIW....70 and 72 are they best.  :icon_smile_cool:

69, followed by 68 and then 70. Most owners of 66-67 and 71-74 chargers secretly want a 68-70..   :nana:

:yesnod:  Here we go again...   :faint:

If we're just talking 2nd gens usually most polls say '69 are most popular, followed by '68 & '70 in that order.
Personally, my favorite is the '68, followed by '70, and last the '69. Although I like all three years the split grille was my least favorite.

I thought he asked what was most desirable in the resale market, not our opinions  but since everyone else is doing it, i love all 3 2nd gens, cant choose between them, not even if my life depended on it  :rotz:

There has been a survey a few times and 68 takes first place followed by 69 then 70.

This.

Any substantial proof to this claim? :popcrn:

Yeah, Because not only did Stuart say so, So do I. That should be all the proof anyone needs.  Remember there are only two types of people in this great world.... Those that own a 68 Charger, and those that WANT a 68 Charger.   ;)

I can only remember daisy dukes, no dudes or cars. Then again I was young, dumb and full of sh!t.

If Stu says so then it is true!!
When the '68 model came out, Dodge got it right.  But, in those days the manufacturers made changes every year so people knew you had a NEW car.  The '68 was a smash hit and I can only conclude that the reason the '69 sold slightly more was that many people were saving up to buy the new '68 but didn't have enough money until the '69 model was out.  The poor souls had to settle for second best if the wanted a NEW Charger.  In '70 Dodge realized their mistake and took the ugly center piece out of the grill.  But they again flawed the design by wrapping the whole front end with a chrome bumper.  I was there and I certify this as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  Bob :icon_smile_big:

stu~ I thought so too, when I was a kid... But after doing some growing up and sole searching, you can not deny the 69 has a better looking grill, and the tail lights match the body lines better, the 69 is to me the perfect 68.  I do like them circle side markers though... And the Bullit car being a 68, I can see why you love them... Im just saying, picture an F6 with white tail stripe 69 charger R/T... or that neat bronze metalic gold color with a black stripe 69 R/T... It doesnt get any better than that for a charger! (unless you have a Daytona!)
