I picked up a 360 magnum short block a few months back with intentions to build a 408.  After doing some looking around I decided if I was going to spend $1900 on a forged 408 why not spend $2600 on a 426 stroker.  I'm currently running a pepped up 318 in my Charger and there is plenty of time and money that needs to be spent on getting him on the road, legally.  So this will be slow build as I find deals on parts.  Here we go:

360 short block purchased for $50
Sold the crank, pistons & rods for $90 (so got a free block and $40 in my pocket)

Found a pair of Eddy heads with a really nice port job.  The heads were on a 340 but were taken off for the porting but never put back on.  Valves and runners are clean.  Intake runners were hogged out enough for pushrod holes to be sleeved.
Ported Eddy RPM 6077 heads $750/pr

Total cost so far $710.
