I know this subject has been discussed before. It looks like one of the fender bolts was painted with a brush but the other one was sprayed.

Looks good.  What issues did you find with it?

69hemidaytona

There was some rust in the trunk and around the back window. Also a little on the driver's side lower quarter panel and right in front of the driver's side rear wheel. I will post photos of that shortly.

Tony,
I agree!
Did you notice funny lines on the quarter panels? The Charger body is TOO BIG for the tank at REDI-STRIP. They have to dip the front half and then the back half! So those lines on the quarter panels are from the two dip process! Your Daytona body looks to be in very good condition! That is going to save a lot of time and labor on the restoration!

very nice thread and very cool car.  Here's something that I know ALOT of guys would be interested in .... as far as I know there is no "nut and bolt" kit that pertains to the nosecone.  I know Tom at RT Specalities said hes asked a few guys with original cars to give him a list of what size and head marking and he'd make a bolt kit for people.  Hell, I'd be interested and pay you if you could supply me with a list like that.

Anyway, great car!  It's awesome that you got one that is not only a hemi but that has all the original parts.

Thanks Jim. I was quite nervous while the car was at Redi-Strip. All I could think about was somebody forgeting about my car in the tank and having it disolved into nothing. :eek2: I felt much better once Roger had the car back in his shop. The dent in the quarter panel was able to be fixed without any metal replacement.

That body looks really solid, great news  :2thumbs:
