go to Ireland and tell that to the prodistants

True.  But, that's their problem.
are they saying the same thing?

I appreciate the civil responses to my post and think some good points have been made.

I wrote to move the topic back to the issue of these particular people and what they did.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Maybe not.  But on the other hand, remember, prior to 9/11, Germany and several other European countries, turned a blind eye to Al Qaeda cells operating within thier countries (as long as they weren't plotting against them).

I don't understand that at all. I do not hold anything against a race of any people for what 1 or 1000 have done..

I on the other hand will start to take a look at any particular race of people after they've bent us over just a couple times. After Lockerbie, the Cole bombing and 911, you don't have to whack me in the head anymore than that to get my attention.

Fact: People are taught to hate. It is a learned thing. We are not born with hating people whom drive Chevies or Toyota's... There are people that HATE other than MOPAR brands. It's the same thing and it makes no sense.

Of course this isn't exactly the same, but what I mean is when we were kids/babies, we didn't know any difference in cars or people. The nasty shit is not the color or height or anything else other than what we are taught...

I'll agree with that one 100% but you can be taught to hate or at least question peoples motives at any age.

I can remember the first black family to buy a house here in this small town, they lasted almost a month before they were pushed out. You have to understand that this was in the mid to late 60's around the time that MLK jr. was killed and if you're old enough to remember that time, you probably understand the reasoning; not condone it, but understand it.

I think the Catholics are the least of the protestants problems in Ireland. The muslims have taken that place over.

Clearly, Islam does have a terrorist problem, so why can't everyone admit that?   ::)

I sort of agree with the notion that you can't condem them all for the actions of just one or two people......but.....
It's more than one or two.....and only a scant few condem their action....and with little to no conviction in the condemnation...yet hundreds if not thousands demonstrate their joy in the streets and the results of these actions.....and millions sit quietly and watch it happen....these are the ones that worry me because they are living here in this country....and they know exactly who the radical factions are...but their loyality to their religon is stronger than their loyality to this contry no matter what they get from it....and it always will be....to have information that could have stopped this and not report it makes the entire muslim world an accomplice....we delude ourselves when we try to be fair to what we believe is the majority of this group when infact if forced to choose sides they would turn on this counrty in a second.....you also have to remember the muslim world lives by their custom of revenge...no matter how many centuries it takes....and make no mistake they feel it is their duty to their family and their religon to avenge a past wrong...no matter how missplaced it maybe....

Just look at the dead bombers wife.  What a joke!   She's American that's been totally brainwashed into that world.  She dresses like some woman from the streets of Bagdad.  I'm sure her parents are sickened by this.  Each one of these "peaceful" people are potential terrorist.     And we just welcome them into this country.

Sounds like Skippy has the same ole 300 year old complaint.  What do you think the Native Americans were thinking when the Europeans came over?  My money is on the same thing Skip said.  Some probably said send them home, others welcome them with open arms.

sunfire69

And this is a perfect example....groups that come here no longer come here to be Americans...they come here to escape the poverty in their home country...they have no plans to assimilate into our culture....but to set up a satellite of the country they left and change their new home to something they just left...because here they can.....their loyality is not to the United States....it's to their respective culture.....and they figure we are weak enough and blind enough to let it happen.....problem is...they are right

People can call it what they want.  It has nothing to do with the color of your skin or being anti religious.   I call it as I see it.  A large group of people that are constantly having ties to terrorism.    I won't be so willing to let you in my home.    Here's an example ......... if a group of guys on Harley Davidsons pulled in your driveway and wanted water how willing would you be to let them in your home?   They're white just like me but due to the biker image I'm not going to be welcoming them into my house with open arms.   They may be good guys and they may not be.  Some might be offended but that's OK.    I can live with offending them before I could live with the fact that I lost my family because I was to trusting.

This country is OUR home and we shouldn't be so trusting of any outsiders period!      Some people complain about guns ........mark my words, these bombing idiots get their crap together and you'll see more damage than any gun has done domestically.

It's not really, but kind of funny that we blame 1 religion as a whole for everything. How soon we forget about the many who had been fondled and raped by the very priests of another religion. No, those people are not dead, but scarred for life.  And history is full of bloodshed from other than Muslims as mentioned earlier. The numbers of muslims in this country has grown tremendously over the last decade. So how can you blame an entire religion for something done by a few? Back to the beginning of this post, there are MANY MANY more that have been raped right here at home by the leaders of a widely accepted religion right here at home!!

I know that the readings of that religion say to kill the infidel. It doesn't mean they all believe that.

I also do not believe it should be in it, but then again, I don't believe any of it to be true in any language, so to speak...

What about the thousands of Muslims that were born in our Countries, is it not their Country?  :shruggy:

Steve P.

Skip, I can understand your feelings and to a point, agree, but 99.8% of us in the USA originate from some other country.. You were born here, but your people are NOT American Indians.. Nor are mine.. Few of us are and they have been mixed down over the years in large..

So what if it were a bunch of Navajos on horse back that needed that drink?? ;)

Quote from the net: " A new survey reveals the dramatically changing face of religion in America, with the number of Muslims in the U.S. soaring 67% in the decade since the 9/11 attacks.
Data released Tuesday from the 2010 U.S. Religion Census shows Islam was the fastest growing religion in America in the last 10 years, with 2.6 million living in the U.S. today, up from 1 million in 2000. "

I've thought about that Steve.  And that religion started getting a lot of pressure to start cleaning house.    For the other question, if you're born here then you're just as American as I am.   I'm just saying we need to close our doors and not allow more in.   Sometimes you have to do what may be considered wrong to do what's right.

Yes, it's their country.  But, send home those that are here on a visa and cut off Muslim immigration.  Just like WWII.
Those that remain will eventually assimilate.  (as many probably have done)

Of those 2.6 million living in the US....can you tell which ones are willing to kill you ...which ones are willing to overtly help them...and which ones will silently stand by and let them get away with it...you are an infidel and are of a lesser status ...remember guessing wrong means you don't go home tonight.....guessing wrong will cost people their lives.....so in the end how do we tell....we would love to have them move here....assimilate...and be part of "Our" culture while maintaining their respective cultural identity but that is not their plan.....
As harsh as it may seem...in the 17th century this land was invaded and conquered as was the custom of the time by people form Europe....it is now known as the United States of America.....your trying to impose 20th century morality on a 17th century event...in a world that had an entirely different mind set....I don't feel guilt for what happened 300 years ago.....and like the indiginous population of the time....if we were invaded today ( and by your numbers we have been) I will fight for this country...if we fail...then we go the way of the American Indian....

We can argue this point forever, argument is good. But we need to keep in mind where the current threat is coming from. We have been attacked over and over again by the same type of people who have the same beliefs. These people are all a radical group from the same religion. This group has been at war, they call it jihad,  for as long as they have been in existance. This is nothing new. The only difference is we are now there target. We can ignore them as we have been in the last 6 years. Or we can fight them as we have in 8 years before that. As a nation we have to decide which works better for us. Consider Bengazi and now Boston. In my opinion ignoring them is not working out to well.

The one single thing that people seem to either forget, or they just don't understand is that Islam is not just a religion, it is their way of life. Their "constitution" if you will and you can bet your last dollar that they don't give two shits about ours.
