I picked up a set of Harland Sharp roller rocker arms for my 440. It looks like the roller may be abit far forward on the valve tip. Will this be alright or is there some way to fix the geometry? There is nothing fancy about my set up. i am running a 545 lift cam however.

You need to switch them around. Same as HYD rockers.  The is a L/R side on each head. You will see what what I mean when you look at these closely.

Only way I've ever changed the posistion is to shim the rocker stands under the shafts. This moves the rocker higher by a couple/few thousandths and causes the roller tip to move back to center. Did you roll the engine a couple times all way around to get that reading? If stays primarily in one place, you can move the contact patch some.

Russ, mine were the same with the E-Heads using a 1.5:1 HS rocker setup....the scrub pattern is not ideal but certainly acceptable. I'd just make sure the rollers are centered on the valve tip and you have .015 side clearance....then run it !  :yesnod:
