I will be getting my building wired, so I will have dedicated outlets for some of my tools. Bad part is my garage is the outdoors so I will be making a canopy of some type to keep my car out of the weather.

Baldwinvette77

neat, and lame about not having a garage, but then again, i had my car lop-sided on my driveway while i worked on it for a couple months

Old Tired Rebel

Yeah it sucks not having a garage, bit on the flip side I have all the fresh air I want. LOL

ooh ooh let me guess stainless ,,,,headliner,,,no  side window, polished like privacee glass,,ooh i give up ,, floor boards may bee???

car looks lots better in black ,kinda like the mult color joe dirt look ,,but with a hole naybers all black is good an evil at same time..  was wondering if ya think  the front window bars may cause problem with getting it legal?   just make them bolt in or out maybe.. in our state dont think they wood pass, cant have anything that blocks driver view..just a idea to maybee save ya some greef in the legit area..

well great progress an have fun, is it winter yet in the north, haha?  lattter dj west best coast    :D  :2thumbs:

Baldwinvette77

yeah alot of people are concerned about the bars in the window, i just have them tacked for now, they arent hard to remove, but for the record, chopping your roof down  12" and then adding a 2 foot supercharger is legal here, so i cant see why this wouldn't be

also heres a list of SH$T i pulled from the MTO website

Minimum equipment requirement references in the Highway Traffic Act are as follows:

Section 62 - Lamps & Turn Signals

Section 64 - Brakes

Section 66 - Mirrors, Windshield Wipers, Odometer & Fenders/Mudguards

Section 69 - Tires

Section 72 - Safety Glass

Section 75 - Muffler & horn

Section 103 - Reflectors

Section 106 - Seat belt assemblies

Section 142 - Brake lamp

Tires? Don't you think that's overkill?

Freaking government man, they just try to milk as much money from you as possible, next thing you know engines will be required, where will it end  :RantExplode:

So, i figured i might as well tackle the most difficult part of any project; installing complex mechanisms you have no familiarity with nor have any idea what you have and what you don't have, The quarter regulators!!!! yay...  :rotz:

i started by trying to jam things into what i believed were their locations like a preschooler trying to fit the square peg into a round hole.

then i remembered being a badass solves everything and starting cutting things to pieces, im going to assemble the regulators outside of the car then make the panel a bolt-on deal that way in the future if i ever need to remove or service the regulators it'll be WAY easier  :hack:

also made some stainless steel panels to cover up most of the ugly

Baldwinvette77

then i started blindly installing things  :shruggy: this might take a few days....  :scratchchin:

Old Tired Rebel

Like the door panels, are you planning on bead rolling them? Those window regulators is a job good luck

i might, i dont have a bead roller so i'll need to find someone who does  i could always just brush them or polish them and leave them smooth, i dont know quite yet,

Also i figured out the regulators  :woohoo: and only 5 left over parts!!!!

Old Tired Rebel

3 of those look like window bumpers, but don't hold me to it.

That's pretty funny that you decided it would be easier to cut the rear panels out to decipher the regulators.  I cut those panels loose to get inside and straighten out the quarters which were caved in and then thought " Hey. It would be a whole lot easier to deal with these regulators if they stayed attached to a removable panel". What can I say? Great minds and all that.  Everything is looking good. Keep steaming. :2thumbs:

Hahaha, totally

anyway i made some mounting tabs for the panels and mounted them.

you gotta love it when a plan you never had comes together

Those spare parts are the stops,
for up and down don't loose them , they will come in handy for when you are trying to adjust glass

Those rear window regulators were the ONLY thing left in my car that I didn't take apart.   They still worked somehow.
