I have a 1966 Dodge Charger that has manual brakes.  I am going to accomplish the standard, dual master cylinder Disc brake upgrade (73-76 A-Body Swap).  I have done this before...works great.  The question I have is regards to the power brake booster.  I am also going to upgrade to a power brake brake booster.  I know there are three options.  The first option (66-69 Bendix booster) is not an option for me.  Hoverer, when I look at the parts warehouse's, there are two options.  Also, when I look at pictures of 66 chargers, they have these two different boosters installed.  There doesn't seem to be an rhyme or reason to which one is installed in relation to different options (A/C, engines size, etc).  Does anyone know what the correct booster is for a 1966 Dodge Charger with a 383 and Air.

Thanks.

there is no rhyme or reason as to which one either. I have seen both.

You are gonna have to get the power booster backing plate that goes to the firewall as well, along with the linkage under the dash that goes to the pedal

Thanks.  Maybe its based on what factory location built the car.  Whos knows.  I'm with you and have seen both on multiple 1966 Dodge Chargers.

Will the linkage bolt right up under the dash, or do I have to drill some holes for the power booster linkage.

the linkage will bolt up to the existing holes in the dash brackets under the dash. And you should have another hole in yer brake pedal to bolt the lever to as well. It should all line up if you get the correct parts. don't forget the backing plate between the booster & firewall. You will have to move or adjust the brake switch bracket so it works correctly
