I know some folks here that own Buick Grand National, so I thought I ask whats this parts car is worth and is it worth picking up to part. Complete car that has been partially taken apart 15 years ago or more. Turbo was pulled and stored in the trunk, interior still together. They took the bumpers and spoiler off, hood looks good, glass is good. Is there a demand for parts from this car? no title. Guy is asking $ 1500.00  :shruggy: for some reason I can't get my picture to load up, I'll keep trying.

Thanks in advance for your imput

Don't know much about value on these, but performance-wise, 85 is definitely not the most desireable in stock form.

Lacking a title, it's a parts car. Question then becomes, "how many GN/T-type specific parts are left?" That's where the money is.

Might be better to try and find a GN/T-type specific forum as you might have better luck finding out what it's worth.

alot of GN parts are interchangeable with less expensive regals, like the doors, glass and some interior bits, so there may not be a high demand for those, i've seen people selling hood between 400-600$ thats probably where you'll make most your money, is the engine in it?  If you're lucky you may be able to find someone with a regal who is trying to clone a gn, and may want everything you've got, and as for "demand" theres a whole world of buick fans who would kill for a gn, i'd find a gn/buick forum, and post want you want to sell on one of those.

if it helps, this guy is trying to sell one in worse condition for 1000$ more

I have an 87,the 84,85 weren't interecooled and don't share  alot of eng stuff with the 86 and 87's.There is not really much engine wise to be valuable, but any body parts are that aren't rusted, especially the doors are.Hood and trunk lid w/spoiler will bring a few bucks.Header panel, grill, fillers, bumpers also.If the WW moldings are in good shape, they will sell easily and for a good buck.If it has the orig 3.42 posi rear that is worth a few $$$$$ to.Sounds like its worth $1,500 to me. :Twocents:

Yea it's worth it..and like was said earlier, other than the grille most parts are the same on all years..doors, hood, trunk, glass.
I have a '85 GN but mine has a '87 intercooled motor..much better setup than the old "hot air" motors.
I'd buy the wheels off you if they would fit over my big brakes but they won't...I know they (if in decent shape) go for $400-600.

Thanks for all the fast replies. :2thumbs: I have always liked the 85 - 87 Grand National, cool looking cars. I think I might pick this car up just to part out the help pay for my Charger habit.
