Anybody blackout the hideway headlight grill on a 71+?

Would like to see pics also.

Someone tried sandblasting the grille and pitted the chromed areas. Plus with the large chrome bumper I thought the original look of the front of the 71's had too much chrome. I painted the grille a semi gloss. i like it a lot better than the factory look.

I agree with you on the chrome. Too much. I like the blacked out look.

I sandblasted mine and painted them with black sunburst paint, which winds up looking like sparkly dark grey.

preffer the stock look if they are 71s.

72s preffer blacked out
