Well if you would quit showing off and quit burning all that rubber that wouldn't be a problem.  ;D

i had a 79 dually with a 71 400 (out of a 72 1 ton) got about 10 mpg empty , 12 pulling a 5000lb trailer with bed loaded with tools and parts. go figure?  i think its beacuase it actaully didnt run as well without some load on it. after i pulled the 400 and syncronus 4 speed out of the 72 1 ton i installed a 79 318 with granny low. the truck had 3.73 gears and verry tall rear tires. it got 18-20..i wish it wasnt such a piece of crap. i shuld find a nicer one of those old 3/4 or 1 tons and put that drivetrain in it. i miss that truck , it was a wrecker with a holms 400 unit on it . made lots of $ hauling junk cars to scrap with that.

No doubt, I was surprised when we picked up my friend's new truck.  I had to drive it off the lot because he had a suspended license at the time,  :icon_smile_cool:, .    See his new one ton truck?   Entire warranty VOIDED.   Why?  Because he got the 100 hp increase chip from the dealer.   Any mod at all to the truck voids the warranty completely,  even if the dealer does it, including putting bigger tires on it more than one size up.     The next truck pic?  A truck on their lot the dealer lifted and put tires on, yup, warranty completely void, even though the dealer did this to it.

They sell em this way on purpose to void the warranty, IMO, if you even put bigger tires on your stock truck, more than one size bigger, your warranty if void.
You gotta put the chip in after you get it home, and save your original wheels,
then put it back to stock when you take it in for a major warranty repair.   :shruggy:

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Most likely when you are taking it in for a "major warranty repair" its because you blew something up due to your chip or the bigger tires putting strain on stuff.  Its your truck and if you want to take it beyond stock thats your decision but the dealership shouldnt have to do your repairs for you because you ate a tranny or a ring and pinion up.
