so i did the 440/727 swap into my 73 charger B body. along with the 8 3/4 swap. and upon the engine fully resting in my car, i had to remove the oil pn for it to clear (trand and headers were attatched) headers went in fine, except the trans hit the firewall as the center sump type pan hit the k member. is there any trick to putting the pan back on? or do i need a different one? the numbers are (9xx) cant remember the rest. also my headers are right in the way of my shifter linkage, anyone have this issue? dont know what to do  :brickwall:

Shifter linkage will have to be modified.  My headers came with instructions on how to do it but I switched to a floor shifter so never had to mess with it.  I remember it wasn't too difficult though.  I think a quick cut and a weld.  I'll see if I can find it.

thanks charged72! only problem is that was for a small block right? mines the 440. and the headers directly in the way. u think i could cut the shifter linkage rod itself? maybe put sort of a U shape into it t the top? worth a shot
