12" self powered home theater sub woofers

I hear you there....no pun intended. I often like listening to music loud with
tight solid bass. No surprise, I grew up in the 60/70's. My late wife tolerated my need for db's
and she'd find things to do in the yard or run errands when she saw me pulling
CD's off the shelf. Definitely a good thing I live semi-rurally. 

She didn't mind heavy bass or volume while watching movies in our
home theater environment though.

My listening/viewing area is roughly 12x18 as I may have mentioned so I hope
it's not too much of a monster. I can always turn the gain down.....maybe.

I take delivery of it tomorrow and an Oppo Blu-Ray machine Tuesday.
The recent arrival of a Best of Cream CD will be the first played.

Update..........

The new sub arrived several days ago. Sadly my neighbors home has been reduced
to rubble, both my cats are now incontinent, I have no pictures on my walls anymore BUT
my music listening and home theater environment are incredible!

On a side note this other thingy showed up on my porch last week. Awesome.
