As long as it's dead, what's it matter what the reason was. That thread was like the undead and let's face reality, it needed a stake pounded into it. Tillar should be heaped upon with praise for his unselfish and heroic actions.

The way to deal with a thread that completely annoys you to no end, or insults you, bothers you, irritates you, burns you up, rubs you the wrong way, or feels like sand mixed in with your KY is to simply resurrect the locked topic in a new thread & keep posting about it like a walking, breathing, laxative.

The entire last 30% of that thread was polluted with politics.

There were 12 pages with over 20 references to a lock either positive or negative, starting as early as page 12 which is about where the insults started coming out, including some from the original poster, but the last 10 pages of it is full of people either wanting it locked or it being mentioned of being locked. Although it started way before halfway through the thread, At page 30 it was mentioned that it was nothing but politics which you would think would have been a sign that it needed to go away, but knowing how hard it is to run a board it's easily missed.

Politics is a lot more than just 2 people arguing over which candidate is better for a particular job. I wasn't the first one to start in on it, but I did get the last word in.  So there it is Mike, "clear and direct". Get over it.


Oh, and before anyone assumes anything, I have absolutely no issue with Rob. He had a gorgeous 69 and went through a lot of work to make it like that.  My hat is off to him. It was just time for that thread to go.

I had just as many political post in that thread as you did, I would not worry about it.  The car itself was made by politics, it could not help but turn down that road sooner or later. I for one will not miss the thread.

Electric cars to save the planet?

Lets see.

We use gas powered equipment to mine and transport coal. Then the coal gets burned in a power plant and converted to electricity. The electicity looses current as it travels to your house. Then you charge the battery and even the most efficient battery will never put out the same amount of current it took to charge it.

I really don't see how all that would cut down on pollution.

I'm going to sit back and laugh at you guys.  Here you guys go 3 years bashing this car.  Alot of what I read was how sick and tired of this Volt thread you are.  Here the mods did you a favor and locked it so it would never be posted in it again.  So, you start another thread about bashing the car and the thread.  Seems like you just slapped the mods in the face for doing you all a favor.  I think yall owe the creator of the original thread an apology.  I'm still going to miss posting in it.  OK, now I'm going to just laugh at your stupidity.
