Ok, firs I found down here a NOS 2 speed wiper motor labeled 3635317 on a tag. Does somebody can tell me aplication ?
http://lightningjar.com/decoders/partnumbers/index.php states DT 72-73 2 speed wiper, but that number is too new to 72 motor aplication ( my 74 catalog have Motors numbers 34xxxxx ), plus have no idea about that DT does mean

Second question and more important... I'm hunting a variable speed motor ( already located ), and now the switch. Bradsnosparts got me the 72/74 switch ( not cheap BTW ) but they tell me variable speeds system don't use the wiper cam system... probably is the same to 3 speeds. So HOW THE HELL THEY WORK AND HIDE UNDER THE HOOD ?

please I need to know to get the right parts before get mad when I see doesn't work in my hands.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY GOT AN ANSWER FROM  moparessentials websiteeeee... finally know now

Hi Nacho, the 3 speed motor for your car does not use an external parking cam assembly. The 2 speed motors require this feature, 3 speed motors have this built into the motor itself. The motor 3431624 will work, I believe that you will require the crank arm w/pin part number 3431635 to connect to the drivers side linkage. Speaking of the drivers side linkage, this may have to be replaced as well.
Your 2 speed will use linkage arm part number 3431646 and the 3 speed requires linkage arm 3431647. These part numbers are from my 1973 parts manual, hopefully it is the same for 1974. You will also have to locate a switch as you cannot use a 2 speed switch with a 3 speed motor.

When you see the three speed motor, look closely at the out put shaft. You will notice that the shaft is not directly in the center of the motor. When the motor is turned on, the shaft changes position to allow or cleaning of the glass. When turned off, the shaft rotates backwards for 1/2 a revolution and then it goes back to its offset position and pulls the blades under the hood opening. The 2 speed motor has a single straight out put shaft and when it is reversed nothing happens except it just goes in reverse. To complete the pulling of the blades under the hood opening, it requires the external parking cam assembly to accomplish this feature.
This sounds confusing and it is. But some genius at Chrysler came up with this idea 30+ years ago and it does work.

Hopefully this helps.
Take care,
Rick.

I already did know how 2 speeds works of course.

Does look now I'll have a new headache tring to get the wiper link ( apparently crank comes in the way )

Oftenly to be that tiresome give final results LOL :P  :icon_smile_big:

MrSnicks

I'm going to resurrect an old thread. The 2 speed wiper motor on my Dodge Charger is ka-put. I'm not looking for part numbers but actual Make + Models that will physically work. I don't care about restoration quality and matching number, but just "work properly" interchanges.

So what other years/models will drop right in and work properly?

Thanks,

Patrick
