It's a '67 Chevy II. Supposedly a family friend is part owner now. They just bought it. Bought it for something like $85,000....

if that your thing I say go ahead and buy it, but I would rather spend my 85k on something else than that chevy nova..

I think a Nova 2 drag car would be the last thing I spend $85g's on.  But, I don't have $85 g's to spend.

The two engines for the car cost $40,000 for pair  :rotz:

What does a 6 sec 1/8 mile equate to in the 1/4?  10's or 11's

9.44 and they got 85K?

I don't doubt the 2 motors cost 40K but man that's a lot of money for a car that isn't really all that quick. Even then that's 45K for a mostly a roller....seems inflated to me.

Sure much quicker than my ride but for that much coin I would think it would be quicker...say at least a solid 8 sec car. :shruggy:

with that much coin you could get your charger in the 8s if you wanted to..hell 40k for an engine and 40k for whatever else you want...

Two engines, the car, a mountain of brand new replacement parts, racks of brand new tires, trailers, etc.

Literally it was $85,000 for everything you'd need for a "racing team"

And the owners are die hard chevy fans.

As for my cousin's Cuda, it cost him $100,000 to do from the ground up after all the bills were tallied.

That helps some with the cost....

And that stuff costs a little more in Canada than it does in the US.
