Our goal is to have it off for paint next week, so we finished a few electrical items and tuned a little more.  after backing it into the driveway it only seemed right to stretch its legs a little too!!  :drool5:  :2thumbs:  :coolgleamA:
after paint we will switch the rear to a nice posi, so dual strips will be left!

Nice.  I wouldn't be able to get away with driving without taillights around where I live.

We live in a closed loop neighborhood, so very little traffic!! Just went down a few houses and back.  :2thumbs:

Sounds tuff!

Changing the color, or sticking with the 'lime?  :scratchchin:

Keeping the lime!!!
The original was a blue, but not many cars can get away with the lime and we like it!   It's to bad the previous owner left the car out for years with a tarp or something which created small bubbles (almost sandpaper like) texture to the paint.  Plus is very thin and chipped in several locations.
We plan to keep the black out on the hood, but change it to gloss with the 440 call out.  We'll grab a bumble bee decal stripe for the trunk so it's correct (unlike the hand painted mess currently shown)  :brickwall:
My buddy is a body guy too, so he'll fix a few of the bumps before the nice paint!  :2thumbs:

I like the hood callouts.  Did your car come with them originally?

projectanimal

It has them now, but not sure how the car was originally.  We have no fender tag and found no build sheets..... Just going to make it how we would like!!  :icon_smile_big:

Oh yeah, absolutely.  Like I said, I like them on there especially against the lime paint and you are so right about it being one of the few cars that can pull that color off successfully.
