I've been researching my family tree on my Grandmothers side and found a cool link to the area where the first episodes of DOH were filmed.  I had no idea until yesterday that they filmed in the Conyers/Rockdale/Covington area and it is all coming together and may explain why I have a rebel horn in my Charger.

When my Grandma was alive she used to always say that the last battles of the Civil War were fought around her grandpas' farm.  When she died in 2008 we found some Jefferson Davis Confederate money in her night stand and I always knew that I had some family links to Georgia.  Until now I never gave it a thought, but I have been doing some research and have found a lot of relatives with the last names of Miller, Jackson, Hurt, Plunkett and many others that all link back to the confederacy and the post war rebuilding of the area.  After doing more research I found out that she was born in De Kalb county and lived in the Conyers area from 1913 to the 40s where her father ran the general store.  I know they used to own large pieces of land in that area and I'm curious if any of the forum members live in this area.

Is this the start of your transformation to seeing the orange light and whistling Dixie?  Have you made it to the flannel shirt stage yet? ;D  Please resist the urge to start jumping ditches and trains
