Thought I'd share my build, as it looks it's best right now – I've always loved cars in primer. They're so soft and beautiful, with clean crisp lines and uninterrupted shadows. I saw a Bimmer recently that's painted flat white – looks like primer – so so cool!

Anyways, here's my 71 Bee after a solid year of work. I completed the metal work last winter, blasted and dipped everything, epoxied everything in and out, blocked down entire car with filler – finished off to 180 and then sprayed two coats of Standox Surfacer. This is how you see it below. I previously finished the bottom in a dip-gray finish, that's why the pics show it taped off. I'm quit happy with it now, although I have a long way to go still. It's a nice milestone to get here, as the body work was very frustrating and overwhelming to this point. I did an E-body in my twenties and man, this B-bodies seem huge. My vented heater comes this weekend, so I can continue blocking the poly down and spray two coats of 2K over the next little while. I'm starting to get excited.

Nice brant.
You're right about that. I thought the same when mine was in primer.
